Rodney the Raindrop

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 25 October 2026

The short version. Rodney the Raindrop is free to play. Grown-ups can buy optional raindrops, sticker packs and a Rodney Club subscription. Digital items are delivered straight away, so once they're delivered the usual 14-day cancellation right no longer applies, but your legal rights if something is faulty always do. You can cancel the Club at any time. If something goes wrong, email us and we'll help.

1. About us

The Adventures of Rodney the Raindrop (“Rodney”, “the game”) is run by Stephen Payne, a sole trader trading as Rodney the Raindrop, based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”).

Contact us at info@rodneytheraindrop.com. We aim to reply within 2 working days.

2. Who these terms are for

Rodney is made for children aged 2 to 6 to play with a parent or carer nearby. These terms are an agreement between us and the parent or guardian who sets up the game for their family (“you”). You must be 18 or over to accept them and to make any purchase.

By using the game, or letting your child use it, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

7. Cancelling and refunds

UK law usually gives you 14 days to change your mind about an online purchase. For digital content that is supplied straight away, that right ends once the content is supplied, as long as you agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you'd lose the right to cancel.

When you buy raindrops, a sticker pack or a Club membership, you ask us to deliver it straight away and you agree that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once it has been delivered. We ask you to confirm this before you pay.

We know little fingers can tap the wrong thing. If you made a purchase by mistake, email us within 14 days. If the raindrops or stickers haven't been used, we'll normally refund you in full as a goodwill gesture.

Refunds go back to the card or payment method you used, usually within 14 days of us agreeing to them.

8. If something is faulty

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If something you bought doesn't work properly, tell us and we'll fix or replace it. If we can't do that within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you can ask for some or all of your money back.

If digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content, and this happened because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or compensate you.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. For more information, contact Citizens Advice.

9. Using the game fairly

Please don't copy, change, resell or redistribute the game or its content, extract or reuse its code or artwork, try to get around its purchase or parental features, interfere with how it works, or try to access parts of it you aren't meant to. We may suspend family sync or purchases for anyone who does.

10. Our characters and content

Rodney the Raindrop, his friends, the stories, artwork, music, games and the game's name and logo belong to Stephen Payne, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the game for your family's own non-commercial enjoyment. You may share the game's link with friends.

You must not copy, download, extract, reproduce, decompile, reverse-engineer or reuse any part of the game's code, artwork, characters, stories, music or other content, in whole or in part, or create anything derived from it, whether by hand or using an automated tool. Nothing in these terms gives you any ownership of the game or its content.

11. Screen time and supervision

Break reminders, the grown-ups question and other safety features are there to help, but they don't replace a grown-up's supervision. You're responsible for how much and when your child plays and for keeping the Grown-ups area answer out of their reach.

12. Our responsibility to you

13. Changes and ending

14. Disputes and the law

If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
